Driving home from Millville the other day I was caught in a storm. I was under the ominous clouds, but could see a clear horizon in the distance. This reminded me that faith often works very similarly. Like Peter stepping onto the water or the Israelites seeing the Promised Land before reaching it, God allows us to glimpse what’s ahead so we can endure where we are. The storm may be present, but it isn’t permanent. God’s promises are already breaking through in the distance.
